Our family’s journey in the steel business began in 1939 through M/s. P. Raghava Chetty P. Narayanaswamy Chetty (PRCPNC), one of the long-established names in the South Indian iron and steel trade.
Over the decades, successive generations built strong relationships with customers, manufacturers and industry partners by consistently delivering quality products, dependable service and honest business practices.
In 2023, PSR Steels was established to carry this legacy forward under a new identity—one that honours decades of industry experience while embracing the changing needs of today’s construction, engineering and manufacturing sectors.

All supplies are supported by Manufacturer’s Test Certificates (MTCs), enabling customers to verify relevant chemical, mechanical and product specifications. We are an authorised retailer for Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), a Government of India Navaratna Company. We proudly represent their integrated steel plant, Vizag Steel Plant, offering several products including TMT Bars, Angles, Beams, Channels, and MS & EN8D Rounds.
We are an esteemed MoU customer of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), a Government of India Maharatna Company. This formal agreement allows us to offer their high-quality products, including HR Coils/Sheets, Chequered Coils/Sheets, and PM Plates.
Our associate concern,
M/s Sri Vekkaliamman Steels, operates stockyards and warehouses in Chennai and Coimbatore. As a key component of PSR STEELS’ distribution network, they support our operations in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, ensuring efficient stock management and timely delivery of our products.

With nearly 45 years of dedicated experience in the Indian iron and steel industry, Mr. P. S. Rajasekaran has built his career on integrity, technical knowledge and enduring customer relationships. Having been part of a family deeply associated with the steel trade since 1939, he possesses extensive expertise in steel procurement, inventory planning, market dynamics and customer servicing across the construction, fabrication, engineering and manufacturing sectors. As the Founder of PSR Steels, he has successfully combined generations of industry experience with a progressive vision for the future. His leadership philosophy is centred on ethical business practices, dependable service, product quality and building long-term partnerships founded on trust. His guidance continues to shape PSR Steels into an organisation that values people, relationships and customer satisfaction as much as the products it supplies.
P.R. Deepak Kumar - Managing Partner
Representing the fourth generation of a family with an 85-year legacy in the steel industry, P. R. Deepak Kumar combines traditional industry values with contemporary business thinking. Combining technical expertise with global business education, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration from the United Kingdom. This combination of technical education and international business exposure enables him to bridge engineering knowledge with strategic management and modern business practices. At PSR Steels, he leads initiatives focused on business development, digital transformation, strategic procurement, branding, customer engagement and operational excellence. He is committed to strengthening the company’s position as a trusted steel distribution partner while preparing it for future growth through innovation, technology and customer-centric solutions.
